All of Jimmy Savile's paedoing was off camera. Should we not be allowed to enjoy the nostalgia of a Christmas Special Jim'll Fix It?

Are you sure about that? I thought there was a thing where he used to get some of the kids to sit on his lap on Jim'll fix it.

They still show the TOTP's Saville presented but with him edited out. Possibly an option for the remaining Masterchef episodes? Re edit them with a voice over? Don't know how feasible that is as I've never watched it. Is his contribution absolutely indispensable to the format? More stuff coming out now, including the woman who was the ghost writer of his biography.

The only harm that is being considered by the BBC in their withdrawal of episodes of MC is reputational.

Putting Wallace on screen just prolongs the scandal. The scandal dies down when allegations cease and/or Wallace fades in the collective memory.

My concerns about the BBC continuing broadcasts is the message it sends to the victims. Very much BBC thinking more of its ratings and airtime than what the victims have allegedly suffered.

I'm not arguing that the recorded programs should be abandoned forever, just not broadcast until the investigations are complete and/or resolved at which point they can make an informed decision about then broadcasting them or abandoning them.

I think it's also based on what the actual accusations are. The majority are just Wallace being a misogynist knob head - no one is accusing him of being a Saville type character. The accusations by his ghost writer are a little more concerning.

I agree but delaying broadcasting a few programs should hardly be a massive issue whilst allegations are investigated. Particularly given BBC's track record of(in)action (How much money was Mr Edwards paid whilst "off-work"?)

The Onion has won the bidding war for all Infowars assets.

“The Onion is proud to acquire Infowars, and we look forward to continuing its storied tradition of scaring the site’s users with lies until they fork over their cold, hard cash,” said The Onion CEO Ben Collins. “Or Bitcoin. We will also accept Bitcoin.”

The purchase gives The Onion Infowars’ intellectual property, including its website, customer lists and inventory, certain social media accounts and the production equipment

Bloody US judge has said the bidding process wasn’t fair, and wants bids reopened.

  • The Ukraine war
  • Energy prices
  • Smashing the gangs and solving the asylum issue

Starmer hasn’t responded. It was a No 10 spokesperson responding to a direct question from the media.
Blame the media not the PM.

Perhaps a better answer would have been that the PM has better things to do than worry about the culinary hang ups of the leader of the opposition.

If there's anything more important than food, I want it taken outside and shot....
