Oh no!! Brexit not going quite as well as hoped

You're quite right things haven't materialised quite as expected, bit like Labour voters not expecting what Blair did.

That's how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

I presume it's the Iraq war you're referring to. Have you read The Black Swan by Nassim Nicholas Taleb? Nobody predicted 9/11 or its consequences. The conequences of Brexit were widely predicted. It's going exactly as expected by many people.

I do get that many Labour voters have other reasons to dislike Blair but if we're doing this weird comparison then just take a look at Johnson FFS.

There's so many reasons that Blair,Mandleson,Campbell were a disaster for a Labour voter such as myself.I was fooled once I to voting for him.
I think Tony summed himself up well at the last election by saying he'd rather the Tories rule than Labour win from the left.
Feck him he deserves to rot in silence.

I'll take all the responsibility you can throw at me sweetheart, I've not once denied voting for either the Tories or Brexit so don't try and pull that one.

A referendum took place and the outcome was probably quite a surprise to most so I guess a lot had to then try and sort it out and clearly it hasn't been as good as first thought.

Live with it!

"And clearly it hasn't been as good as first thought"

You say

'Thought' is doing an awful lot of hard work in that sentence

It was obvious from the get go, brexit was a really bad idea.

The consequences were predicted, and now we all have to live them, now we all have to live with the long term consequences.
We cant just change it in another four years time at an election.

Meanwhile some of us are still trying to make the best of this very bad job - even though we didn't vote for it - we're still trying to piece together workable solutions in all kinds of sectors businesses and areas of life.

Like having to clear up after a badly thought through teenagers party

But like many others, you clearly don't care.

The best you can come up with is - 'live with it'

Quite pathetic .. But not at all surprising .

I thought you might say that. You'll be pleased to hear that I voted Lib Dem for the entire period Blair was leader.

If you think you can get a Labour candidate elected in Aldershot then good luck to you and I admire your optimism.

Likewise such an exotic creature in the East of Devon...

Well I voted Labour in 2015 and 2017 and that all went to shoot.

However, having lived in several constituencies in my life, the 2019 election is the first time I voted in what could be considered a marginal and to be fair, it's an interesting one...
