Remainers have been using personal insults on this and the other place since brexit…..no one has called them out on it before and thats why this place got annexed from the other.

now we can call them out on it, they dont like it and start using flagrant language as the response. As a brexiteer, i have been called thick, racist, deluded, lack common sense and many other things….and not one member battered an eye lid and asked anyone to stop doing it. This forum has always allowed people to "call others out", even before you joined, and it hasn't really suffered from that but it is clear that your type of "calling out" drags the level of nastiness down to new lows. Swearing is not the real problem, it is a sad fact of life these days, but the level of personal insult is, not even tempered by a noticeable sense of humour. I've been on holiday for a week so not signed in, but, on catching up, it is disappointing that there is a much more unpleasant pattern developing in several threads

It seems as if you go around on this and the other forum with a determination to offend and a chip on your shoulder that makes you think you are being victimised/demonised by other posters and the mods when you fail to realise that being repeatedly banned from forums is your fault and not because you just "say it like it is". It is possible to discuss a subject without resorting to personal insults and it is sad that people are resorting to "upping the ante" in responding to your posts, as I will admit I have sadly done once or twice with other posters.

You will probably see this as just another personal attack, and I am sorry if you do, but it is about time that you just took an objective look at your history of conflict and bans on CC and wonder if it is never your fault.

It's aimed at everybody involved in these pointless aggressive personal arguments that seem to be going on across multiple threads right now. They don't advance the political discourse, they're the reason that the politics forum became such a thorn in the side of site admin that they had to move it, and if they continue then there's a chance that the forum will be closed for good.

You're right.

Personally, I never felt I was getting aggressive, but I apologise if it came across that way.

Ive not been repeatedly banned from any forums and im a member of quite a few………

and ive never told anyone to f off or dropped the c bomb either……..but thanks for your input, i wont take it as a personal attack and will just accpet as a rant from another member, who onlycalls out certain people.

rather than calling me out, why not mudsticks or andyrm or xtic toc tiktoc whatever his name for the constant personal insults??? Not got the balls or is it because they are remainers like you and your quite happy for them to post their bollocks??


it would seem that on this naca and cc itself, there are too many people who like to attack the poster, rather than just question the actual post, that gets peoples hackles up, arguments start and then we have anarcy within the forum…..then people get more brave and start using flagrant language, that people then put likes on, so they get braver and braver and drop the C bomb. But as yet, no one has called out the member for doing such a thing, cause they dont want to put their head above the parapet, incase thay get c bombed too…….

i mean the member even admitted a few posts ago, he hadnt realised he was making personal aggressive insults…….i mean sheesh, does he use the c bomb in usual conversations between family and friends???

Jowwy. I called him out, not personally but as a general appeal to the membership of the forum. He acknowleged my point and apologised. It's perfectly reasonable that some people, from behind a phone or keyboard, holding themselves to their own standards, might not consider that they are coming across as rude or aggressive.

FWIW I'm aware that I behave somewhat intemperately at times so I'm not excluding myself from my own appeal for calm, quite the opposite. I don't want to come across all holier than thou, but I do want the forum to keep existing.
