@jowwy

I find your posts neither informative or entertaining, but childlike, repetitive and tiring, so I'm putting you on "Ignore".

I dong think ive ever read any of your posts…..so wouldnt know your posting style, but based on the above i would say its antagonistic, opinionated, self fulfulling and utter bollocks.

That be thread bans and not forum bans……..and the hiatus was a personal one, not because of any thread ban. ……but well done on trawling back through so many posts to try and prove a pointless point.

rather than calling me out, why not mudsticks or andyrm or xtic toc tiktoc whatever his name for the constant personal insults??? Not got the balls or is it because they are remainers like you and your quite happy for them to post their bollocks??

it would seem that on this naca and cc itself, there are too many people who like to attack the poster, rather than just question the actual post, that gets peoples hackles up, arguments start and then we have anarcy within the forum…..then people get more brave and start using flagrant language, that people then put likes on, so they get braver and braver and drop the C bomb. But as yet, no one has called out the member for doing such a thing, cause they dont want to put their head above the parapet, incase thay get c bombed too…….

i mean the member even admitted a few posts ago, he hadnt realised he was making personal aggressive insults…….i mean sheesh, does he use the c bomb in usual conversations between family and friends???

I did mention that it was regrettable that people were "upping the ante" in response to their spats with you.

I have not "called out" those people you mentioned for their responses to you because those were personal spats with you, and generally I agree with their political arguments and find that they do not initiate the personal insults.

I am a Remainer, although not necessarily a "Remainer like them". I have my own views for voting Remain, which probably differed from some, and I was not as devastated as many when the vote was lost. I am more upset by the lies that were used in the referendum debate, the nationalistic attitude of many (not all) Leavers, the complete horlicks the Tories made of the leaving negotiations, the proposed breaking of an international treaty that was part of those negotiations, and the effects it has had upon our trade (I know,.... Covid, Ukraine etc. but that has not had as negative an effect on most other leading countries).

You clearly disagree with me about your level of responsibility for instigating many of the spats you get into, but somehow I doubt that you have actually considered looking in the mirror over them.

If you say you have not had temporary bans from the CC forum then I believe you and apologise for my incorrect wording, but thread bans are just a level below, and not given out for good behaviour.

I received a thread ban from CC because I was said to have attacked the poster and not the post, and at the time, when I read the thread, had to admit it was true. Very rarely are thread bans given out for nothing, and equally rarely are they undeserved.

I dont seek respect from you…….the only guy i know thats happy for a white european footballer to earn half a million a week and win zero trophies, but is against an egyptian footballer earning 350k a week, cause he hasnt won enough trophies….if thats not a racist, then i dont know what is.

as for speaking in other languages, whoopy doo………my brother speaks multiple languages and left school with zero gcse’s, cause he couldnt be arsed to take them.

I've literally never said that. You have. I don't know why.

As for the languages, they were just an example of being educated. Which, again, you've got in your mind that I am not.

Do you really? That's very impressive.
Could I ask when you started learning them, is it something you've been doing throughout adulthood or did you start at a younger age?

Yep.

Started young, my mum taught Classics hence the Greek and Latin. Went to a French speaking school in LA with loads of Euro kids which is how I picked up Spanish and Portuguese (the Brazilian version). Dated a German and and Italian who's families didn't speak English so I had to pick it up pretty quickly. Out of all of them, my German is the weakest. The rest are quite similar.

Oh, I know a bit of Arabic too. Conversational really, but I could get by.

We can all use google translate……..

and for the record, you did say that…..you was happy for grealish and halaand to earn 300k and 400k respectively…..but stated salah needs to win more trophies to earn his pay rise, despite winning more club and individual accolades than the other two put together….showing underlying racist connotations.

white europeans can earn it, black egyptian cant…….

It didn't exist at the time... And I don't need it?

I've pointed you in the direction of the NACA Soccerball thread. We can continue this boring nonsense there if you like. I'd rather not, but let's see what happens...

I've been thinking about the languages thing, and I don't know if it's just me, probably, I'm a weird c*nt, but whenever I watch something featuring a language I know (The Boys in this case), French especially, I just start thinking and speaking in that language. I have no idea why this happens.

As an example, I nearly bumped into an old fella when I was nipping out to the shop the other day, where I live has a hedge and if someone comes round the corner at the same time you can't see them until you're practically on top of them. Apologised, and because he seemed like a decent cove started asking him about his day and what not. He looked increasingly baffled and then I realised I was talking French to him. He had a good laugh which was fun.

That's how you know that you know a language properly though isn't it? When you stop translating. It was interesting when my niece was young, she knew English but didn't quite have that connection in her brain yet so you could have a conversation where you asked a question in English and she would reply in German. It's pretty cool to see how and in what order those sort of skills develop in a bilingual child.

I'm ashamed of my lack of language skills, my dad knew Serbo-Croatian and Arabic which is pretty cool and outside the usual French, German and Spanish.

As I understand it, yes. Like, it just happens.

It's impossible to describe really, at least I don't have the capacity to do it. I don't really get how it works, but I'm glad it does. It feels, colourful and enjoyable. Which I like. I do need to remind myself to translate for my partner - who only speaks English, so I routinely get "Andy, the f*ck are you on about? And what language even is this?"

That is cool, and you don't need to be be ashamed. Some people pick them up easier than others. It's all good.
