Oh no!! Brexit not going quite as well as hoped

I’ll give you someone to blame, but you wont accept this one either.

i blame the tory in fighting and given the people of the UK a referendum and after 6yrs of tory austerity, the UK people decided to fark them right up and vote leave.

So its the Tories fault, like it or lump it.

I wouldnt have voted leave, if tory voters hadnt voted in the tories in the first place….. because there wouldnt have been a referendum and again, we kept getting told it was only advisory and the tory gov took the advice, so again….tories fault.

It was the Tories’ fault for presenting the country with the Brexit referendum, and those who voted to leave have a share of that too.

The way I read it was, everyone was going to be there, there was a problem with/in the tunnel (I dunno, maybe with power to booths or something?) so they had to hang back for an hour, but all arrived in the end.

But then there's this counter from our side, so...

"It's “absolutely not the case” French border officials were unable to deploy at full capacity in Dover because of an “unforeseeable incident” in the Channel Tunnel this morning, Eurotunnel's Director of Public Affairs John Keefe has told the BBC.

“The incident at the port started overnight well before a minor technical incident in the Channel Tunnel. There is absolutely no correlation between the two," he has said.

He wouldn’t go into details on the tunnel incident, which is thought to have started around 7am this morning after the Port of Dover declared a critical incident, but said it did not last very long and “only slowed traffic down; it didn’t even stop traffic”.

“It had absolutely nothing to do with problems at the Port of Dover,” he has said."

Reminds me of a myth* I encountered when living/working in the UAE. The story went, "as an Expat, beware of being involved in a RTA with a local, because, it would automatically be the fault of the Expat. The logic being, if the Expat (as a foreigner) hadn't been there, then, the RTA would not have occurred", hence, it is automatically the Expat's fault.

* I think it was a myth, fortunately, never tested it.

You just reminded me of something that happened to me some years ago.
I was working regionally but had a base and got a new company car. I mentioned to one of my colleagues that it was a nice drive and he was welcome to have a go if he wanted around the car park, he declined, but I repeated my offer with an “if you do change your mind“.
Anyway, he did, and had a little cruise round the car park a few times, all very nice, until he wheel span it into the parking space, I was not best pleased, but he blamed me because I’d let him drive it!

And now eurotunnel have said the french are lying…..couldnt make this shoot up, hahahaha. Remainers frothing at the mouth and now the french lying about staff being late due to a tunnel issue.
