Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
I actually think a better question now is if we rejoined tomorrow what benefits of brexit would you miss the most?

BTW @winjim ,any chance you could tap that sign of yours please?

I could probably do with re-reading it myself, TBH. Nobody likes a smartarse making oblique references.

Edit: sorry, oblique references.

I remember in the early days of the WWW a university tutor insisting on referring to what we now know as a 'forward slash' as an 'oblique'. Much as I initially refused to use what I still consider to be a hideous portmanteau 'Brexit', I wonder how long he held out for.

These slip-on passport covers turn your red passport into a blue one before the system obliges you to do so.

They also form a discrete and understated cover for the official new blue passports. Highly recommended. :okay:
I renewed my passport a teensy bit early so I could still have one of the old style ones..

For old times sake.😳

Has anyone been through st Pancreas lately??
Any more bother at passport control than usual??
I love watching their ariel antics, when they're trying to chase the buzzards off..

We also have one that lands on one end of the mobile in the morning, then boings its way along the full length of the tin roof, very noisily >>>>>

The only reason I can surmise for it doing this, is just for the sheer fun of it 🥸

We will be finding out soon. The chaos at Dover with the ferries and security seems to me to be inexcusable, there has been plenty of time to deal with the extra bureaucracy. We have shelved out for the tunnel in the hope of avoiding the worst.

We have just applied for German passports, and will use them for our English holiday in September. My better half has heard that if you are travelling from Dover or Folkestone without a return ticket and no visa an EU passport can save a lot of hassle.

If travelling in Germany by train the correct documentation can save a lot of hassle too ...

Thanks for the heads up..
It's just occurred to me that as we've only got one way tickets.

(Not quite knowing date of return yet)

I must check that's not going to cause hassle getting into the EU - what with our only having lowly British passports 😕..

Great..
More pointless stress / hassle.
And for what??

WInd your neck in.
Feel free to ignore it..

Crows are very bright, and curious, able to adapt to all sorts of environments, plus they're in possession of rather glorious plumage.

Who wouldn't want to be likened to a crow?? :becool:

Anyhoo I am going away soon, passport bother notwithstanding, so must crack on with farm prep etc :hello:
