How is losing EU mandated inclusive roaming and having it replaced by discretionary arrangements a Brexit benefit, exactly? At best it’s sometimes no worse than before.

Who said it was diecretionary……how do you know they havent just decided to role back on their decision to charge.

It is their commercial decision and they are free to change it at their discretion subject to any contract terms that apply. Previously, and still applicable within the EU, it was mandated for all customers.

I was querying how such a change could be described, as you did, as a benefit of Brexit. Help me understand.

Benefit of brexit……zero roaming charges on my contract in the UK or the EU.

Now it's down to your service provider. So far as I can tell none of them have reintroduced roaming charges for legacy contracts but nearly all now charge for roaming if you sign up today.

what about rise in fuel prices due to the war in ukraine, is that brexit fault to…….what about world famin and climate change, is that brexits fault.

I believe that is true. but, even if you renew an existing Contract, then, Roaming Charges may be introduced, this has certainly happened to me with a "3" mobile broadband contract. My Phone Contract (Tesco/O2) remains inclusive of roaming, because I have avoided renewal, and just allowed it to "roll on", on a month by month basis. Its most certainly is not a "win" for the consumer.
