Did they mention how things are going with our nearest export market?
We're still holding all the cards I think....

Allways thinking of others....how noble.
Sales pitch: Anyone want to buy a pub which we couldn't keep going even selling the cheapest food and drink of all pub chains? Pub comes with own set of elderly alcoholics, terrible carpets and poor quality but serviceable furniture. One careless owner.
Oh no, there goes the neighbourhood.including Croydon
12 of the 52 are in London and that's including Croydon. It doesn't look like a disproportionate number so it's pretty much spread around the country's larger towns and cities.
Incidentally, the pubs will continue to trade until buyers can be found - that's their stated intention. I'm not sure finding buyers will be either easy or quick.

It's too late to edit it now but I was wrong to say it was 52 pubs for sale. The correct figure is 32. My mistake.

Interesting you should say that. Perhaps, the best indicator is when the little rubber boats crossing the Channel are full on the Dover - Calais leg?
Can I take my bike with me in one of those dinghies?
