Maybe, just maybe, there's a link between what you do and why posters post about it.

Since NACA was cast off from the main CC the posts that have made me consider whether we need a Report button are yours and some of Shep's.

The ignore button is more effective.

Yet another thread descends into serial abuse of the government.

You've already got a thread moaning about Brexit, a thread moaning about the government's response to Covid, and a thread to moan about the Tory party.

Do you really want another one?

Dull, dull, dull.

Learn the difference between ‘abuse’ and ‘stating facts.’

I know, you’re embarrassed that you’ve been conned.

I'm more than happy to ignore all of it , from now on.

If only everyone else would do that too, your forumming life would be soo much nicerer, right ?? :okay:
I don't want to ignore Pale Rider.

PR, you are of course correct that I challenge your posts much more often than I do those of any other poster. That's because, not only are you arguably the most prolific right-wing poster, or certainly the one who has most determinedly set out to impose your version of the character of this forum, but in your posts you try to present your views as being rational and defensible, and that gives something to engage with. Some other right-wingers pretty much just say "I'm selfish, I don't care about any one else, f*** off", and there's little scope for dialogue there. You, on the other hand, while still essentially selfish (because, to left-wingers like me, all right-wing views are essentially selfish😀), at least try to present a coherent case for your views; which means it's quite stimulating to analyse them, identify the underlying motivations and assumptions and prejudices, point out flaws and inconsistencies - and sometimes learn something.

It's called debate. If you don't want to be the focus of critical engagement so much yourself, you probably need either to stop posting so much yourself, or find some other right-wingers from somewhere who are prepared and able to defend their views. Or, of course, see the light and stop being so right wing, but I'm assuming that's a lost cause😪.

It's not the right wingness that bothers me .
I come across plenty of conservative types in the course of my life, .
It's what happens very frequently if you're a politically engaged farmer, living in rural UK .

In the case of PR it's the rudeness, and arrogance towards anyone who doesn't share that view, the misplaced air of superiority.
.
Combined with the idea that he is somehow being victimised, because others don't share his view, and that anyone who doesn't share those same view is hopelessly misguided and ignorant for not doing so.

The accusations that people are boring, stupid or virtue signalling or whatever, for suggesting alternate or progressive views, or those who dare to question the actions and inactions of our woefully inadequate government.

Thats's not fruitful to engage with, it's just downright unpleasant.

I've had plenty enough unpleasantries directed my way by this 'character' in the past, who also incidently seems to have an issue (to say the least) with anyone who brings up issues of particular concern to women.

Others of course will do as they choose.

It's still a free country, even if it is becoming less so, year on year, for those who dissent with a conscience .

Anyway talking of political action..

It's not what you say but the way you say it.

To mangle Eric Morecambe, not only do I use the wrong words, but also in the wrong order.

I'm afraid your delicate sensibilities will continue to be offended.

Another one who cannot hack anyone with a different view,

Get over it - or not - matters not to me.

More playing the man, rather than the ball.

My posts are what they are, no point in over analysing.

At least I don't attempt to lecture and 'educate'.

The rest of your post is your usual me me me garbage.

You cannot grasp that just because someone is not 100% for you, it doesn't mean they are 110% against you.

Most people just couldn't give a stuff, and will certainly not respond to holier than though lecturing, other than to reject it.

By the way, simple disagreement is not 'rudeness and arrogance'.

Get a grip.

They won't start without you, surely?

Thankfully they will.

I really don't want to be some kind of lynchpin.

I get enough 'exposure' as it is, for my liking, without feeling that the whole thing rides on my being present, all of the time .

Tbh if it did depend on just me, it would be a fairly flawed 'organisation' right ??

Tendentious, misogynistic, self-aggrandising blather, mainly. And textbook DARVO. I guess the latter is what makes @swansonj consider you interesting as a case study of some kind.

Strong start.. :okay:

You're going to have to enlighten me on the DARVO bit though.

Sounds like a venal criminal network, poised to 'take over the world'

Dash it all, if they haven't done that already
We must resist with all our might
