Shadow Culture Minister and York MP Rachel Maskill on ITN calling for Andrew to give up the Duke of York title, as it's inappropriate for him to continue as an ambassador for a Human Rights City.

If he used a writ of acceleration, could the remainder be changed to let the Duchy go to his eldest daughter, or, if not, would it go to his year-old grandson or back to the crown?

IMHO, it would be best if the title just lapsed and disappeared, then we can slowly begin getting rid of the rest of the titles. Every journey starts with a single step.

How about ditching it entirely along with all the other silly dressing up games? If York decides it needs a ceremonial goat or other mascot, let it choose one.

The MP for Inverness is calling for Prince Andrew to lose his title of Earl of Inverness too. It seems nobody wants to be associated with him now.

I think the title of Duke of York goes to the second child of the Monarch, not sure if Harry will be getting that or if it will be Willie‘s second offspring.

I agree with BL. There's no great appetite amongst the general public for sweeping away the monarchy in one fell swoop, but most people would happily see it gradually reduce in size, cost, and influence.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I recently happened upon this article about Andrew and his Teddy Bear collection

Summary - The maids who organised Andrews bed sheets had a photo instruction card on positioning some of his collection of Teddy Bears (50-60 bears) on the bed. If it was not done according to the instructions he threw a shoot fit.

I know this is not the worst thing about Andrew by a long shot. But what the farking actual fark??

Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
He's not saying that he did anything but, if he did do anything then she can't sue him for the thing that he's not saying that he did do, even if he did do it because... reasons. Many, many reasons.
And now, he's not saying that he did anything, but he's agreed to stop saying that he didn't do anything. So we shouldn't say he's guilty, but he can't say he's innocent.

Which is interesting.

How come Epstein who was mega rich only paid $500k in his out of court settlement.
It looks like Andy has paid through the nose to make this go away.
