He.
Writer, novelist and biographer who amongst other things, provided a window into the lives of the decadent rich.

Really? I assume they’re some woke Gen Z who thinks they’re being edgy using a girls name.

I don't think Andrew will leave the uk. Charles will pull the plug, leaving him without an income. Who's going to put him up? How would they benefit from association with him? Especially now that his reputation is so thoroughly shredded. No, i reckon the only way he's leaving Sandringham is if he goes to prison.

Perhaps he'll end up like the two princes in the tower?

I shouldn't really respond to casual and dismissive but I will.

E Waugh was accepted in to 'high society' despite the fact he actually loathed them as most of them were too stupid and arrogant to realise that Waugh was highly critical such was his ability to veil his descriptions and observations. He noted how the aristocracy and the elites of the time lived in a different world to the average person. They lived by a different ethic
I used Waugh as a reference like a mirror to the current situation with Andrew. Personally, it seems apt. Whilst their front is of benign civility, loyalty, duty and honour, the fact will always be; they are very privileged and this privilege in Andrew's case, is an obscene abuse of that. FWIW, I do not think that the Royals have done nearly enough to firstly punish Andrew and secondly, to ostracise him.

But carry on.

For all that Waugh despised the toffs and saw through their breathtaking arrogance and entitlement, he was notorious locally for his own breathtaking nobbishness.

Destroying bat colonies did end him up in court, but his many other acts just quietly disappeared.

Do you really think I don’t know who he was?

Yes. Characters are oft full of contradiction. The biggest and most dis-heartening discovery for me, is the mention of Noam Chomsky in the Epstein files.

It was more of a yearning to be one of them.

It must be such a pain for you to realise the hours you selflessly put into research so that other members fully understand the nuances and complexities of world affairs is not appreciated.

There's widespread knowledge in this forum on many issues but I don't take umbrage at those who have better knowledge than I in whatever sphere.
