Life is as good as you make it I reckon, I started work in 1982 and can truthfully say never seen much difference in real terms whoever has been in power.

Other than starting work before you (1964), I would say pretty much the same.

Living with your eyes closed would explain a lot of your posts .

If someones life hasn't been greatly affected why would it mean they live with their eyes closed?

Just because others may have different experiences to what one person does it doesn't make them wrong (or blind).

Brexit has probably affected most people but depending on how someone personally has been impacted will be a measure of what difference to their lives it's made, same with Governments in my opinion.

My only thought is that it would have been better to let security usher out the first protester, then wait for Patel to begin speaking again before the next protestor speaks. The disruption would have lasted *much* longer and really annoyed her.

I guess the idea was to overwhelm the bouncers with sheer numbers. Either way, impactful and deeply joyous.

And probably soon illegal.

Unlikely I hope, but, if after the next election Ms Patel is still Home Secretary, and, as does seem likely, the United Kingdom becomes, well disunited, will she have a wonderful time sending all of the Scots, Welsh, Irish, and English, back "where they came from", or, even, to Rwanda?

How can it not be an 'appealable' decision.
Who does ms Patel think she is..??

There is a system where Immigration decisions can be appealed to the First-tier Tribunal and onwards. Governments of both stripes since at least 2000 have tried to limit that.

They can still be subject to Judicial Review; is the decision irrational, unlawful etc. Attempts to 'oust' Judicial Review run into trouble in the Lords and with Human Rights etc considerations.
