Can anyone explain this?

Seen today on the M5, about 14 miles north of Worcester.

Someone messed up. It happens regularly with Welsh translations but that’s a glaring one. I assume an error at the manufacturer rather than in design as it would surely have got spotted

Some US influencers apparently talk about Worchester sauce, so our children were joking that the sign maker was a follower of one of those.

The American pronunciation of "war-chester-shire" has been around for a while. I recall a Lea & Perrins ad years ago that referenced it.
