Early days FB was pretty good and allowed me to reconnect with people I hadn’t seen in 20 years (after a while I realised why I hadn’t been in touch with some of them in that time). These days it’s almost unusable and I only keep my account as there are a few organisations I’m involved with who use it as their main method of communication.
Marketplace is mostly ok. I use it occasionally for that but that's all. So many adverts from there and the pop up adverts are scams though. Fb do zero about scammers.

Wow. I never knew we were blessed with so many budding thespians.

Do thespians bud? Can you demonstrate?

Years ago, in the very early years of social media, I joined Friends Reunited on the recommendation of an old school friend. What a strange site that was with some strange people. I didn't last long.

ITV bought it for a fortune (£175 million) in 2006 just as Facebook took off. They managed to get some mugs to pay them £25 million for it in 2009 by which time Facebook had taken over the world (it somehow kept going until 2016 believe it or not.

Didn't think I'd live to see the comeback of doublebreasted suits and baggy jeans
Baggy jeans have been a thing throughout. I sincerely hope double breasted suit jackets are a passing thing, because you either need to do them up and look like a nob, or otherwise you look like a total nob.

Pleated trousers are a good move though. I'm sick of catching a train and seeing middle aged blokes' packages in tight suit trousers that end half way down the calf.

So which bothers you: the tight packages, the titillating bit of calf, or just the middle-aged aspect?

Three reactions to this:

- it's obviously very carefully conceived and set up

- if you're going to take that much trouble, you should have realised that the tail should be pointing down, not up, as the notehead is above the centre line. (But I know that would spoil the composition).

- I should get out more
