I'm glad it was nothing like I was expecting. That's probably 20 hours plus prep and god knows how many hours filming just for a short video.
My builds take months in their design and 5 plus hours of set up to film for 2 mins(?) of video so I appreciate the amount of effort.

Exactly – stop-motion is a ridiculously slow process, so I thought you'd appreciate its art (and unexpectedness).

The protagonist is using a hammer instead of a mallet to fit the tops of pieces, that's going to leave some unsightly marks on them.

Instructions? There were none in my childhood. You got a box of bits and built whatever your imagination came up with.
