This raises a few questions in my mind:

How is this (in essence) different from going entirely naked, given the intention seems to be to show as much skin as possible, and to imply the bits that aren't on show?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to wear a thong, nipple caps and wrap themselves in clingfilm?

What would the reaction be if men turned up in a thong and a sheer onesie?

Wouldn't do it for me (the man thing that is) 😂

Should women be free to wear whatever they wish?

It's not as if women in the UK were ever constrained as to clothing.

I think they should. They can dress to impress as much as they want.
However, they can't complain if people look at them. They should also know that men can be nearly as judgmental as women.

Is it very wrong of me to wonder if certain words might be best avoided when they have certain strong connotations?

Am I right in thinking you spend a significant amount of time with adolescents?

Yes, which is one reason I'm very careful with language.

One notable fail was when, in a concert, I meant to reference the Teignmouth Jazz Festival, but another word came out. I hoped no-one would notice, but the older teenagers on the back row giggled. Oops.

if the question is
Should men and women be free to wear whatever they wish?
then I'd agree with this answer:

I like to think I've got a decent vocab (and can turn off Dirty_Mind_Mode when required); but I have no idea what that is supposed to be about!

I might have to Google 'cleavage structures' to find out if it's a technical term, or whether I just get a pile of 'lift and separate' photos.

At Uni our college, like most I suppose, had something of a drinking culture. Signs went up in the staircases that said something like, "rowdyism will not be tolerated".

These were swiftly edited by someone to say "Rowdy jism will not be tolerated."

That's always stuck with me.

(See what I did there?)
