Wait 30 years and there'll be something called ebay and you'll be amazed what that wee bike will go for.

Christian cos play in Trafalgar Square yesterday.

Imagine the uproar in the right wing press if Muslims staged a mock execution of a jew in Trafalgar Square.

I know most folks on here are vehemently anti-religion, but I would have thought them knowledgeable enough to recognise the difference between a symbolic re-enactment of the cornerstone of Christianity belief and the burning of an effigy, accompanied by hateful, anti Jewish speech.

It wasn't that long ago that catholic churches had a symbolic killing of Jews ceremony during easter to avenge the killing of the jew they claim to follow.

Edited to add. There's a depiction of such a scene in this book Requiem for a Spanish Peasant.

Muslims couldn’t even have a simple prayer ceremony in Trafalgar Square without being criticised by politicians for risk of instilling fear in society.
But a graphic reenactment go off without any comment.
I couldn’t care about either group as I have no ongoing relationship with organised religion.
But if people like Mick Timothy are going to call out one side without any comment on the actions of the other lot, then it’s just hypocrisy.

Let’s face it, the critics of Muslims aren’t really criticising their religious beliefs are they? If Muslims were predominantly white Europeans I suspect their religious beliefs wouldn’t trigger these people anywhere near as much.

I agree. One word equality.
But you didn’t frame your post in this way.
