It’s really disappointing to be in a country where Farage can make his big “policy” announcement today without a major backlash. It’s such an obvious ploy, turn people you don’t like into the bogeyman then announce what should be considered reprehensible ideas of how to save country from said bogeyman but there are far too many people desperate to believe in the bogeyman as it stops them being responsible for their own failings. Yet again the mainstream media are giving him all the attention he wants.
Well I suppose having 'done' the EU bit, he needs someone else to blame. Brown people are an easy target.
"Vote to leave the EU and all your problems will be solved"
. . . obviously didn't work so . . .
"get rid of migrants and all your problems will be solved"
It really is beyond my comprehension how anyone can fall for this grifter's patter a second time.
Also, they can't be bothered to think about the issues. Far easier to be told what the problems are and the blindly accept the solutions from people with a track record for failure.Because people want to believe there's an easy answer with no cost to them personally. It's optimistic ignorance.

Farangé might be in a stew about refugees but he's the one that significantly created the problem. Were the UK still an EU member we'd still be in Dublin III agreement which means that refugees arriving in small boats could under Dublin III be returned to the first safe EU country they passed through. Who would pay a fortune and risk their lives when they'd be sent straight back to the 1st EU country they entered ie they don't get to claim asylum in the UK but go back to 1st EU country and have to claim asylum there (so no appeals process in UK, no hotel stays in UK, just a flight or ferry).
We can thank Farangë that we have the issue and given he is much of the cause why would anybody with a few working brain cells accept his "solution"
nb Personally I don't think it is the issue many of our politicians seem to be presenting it as. Of course it's expensive and going badly but that is the fault of politicians not asylum seekers. We should not be blaming asylum seekers for the failings of our politicians.
Scared of losing votes from those voting for Brexit? Being labelled a "remainer" which people like Faragê would then use to blame for him for messing up Brexit and making out all Brexit related problems were down to his negotiation failures?I really don't understand why Labour don't constantly hit back with this. I know he'll try to deflect and suggest he would have some how forced the EU to keep that arrangement in place under his version of Brexit but the message needs to be pushed that Brexit has made immigration worse and given us less control of our borders. None of the other Parties seem interested in ripping his nonsense to pieces.

Or just Labour are not paying enough attention or feel plenty of time before next election or that Reform have few MPs so no threat. But they should be changing the story eg start calling them refuges not "illegal migrants" to start toning down the rhetoric.
I'm unclear as to how this could realistically be argued as Brexit is/was purely a tory affair.Scared of losing votes from those voting for Brexit?
