Probably I'm out of touch, but who the hell is he?

The new chairman of Reform. I've googled him for you.

I hate Jenrick as much as most people, but reporting someone to the Police for saying they had a knife is a complete waste of time.
What are the police going to do?

Quite a lot. The MET take knife crime very seriously and carrying a knife is a serious criminal offence especially if you threaten a senior British Politician and shadow cabinet member. If he had reported the chap immediately and told them which tube he was getting onto, they would have likely nicked him quite quickly.

It's actually an area where being who he is would have actually achieved results quite quickly.

Labour are truly frightened of reform. All these spending plans are in direct response to reform growing voters base.

It will take a few months to see if the public buy into this, risky with increased borrowing and a possibility of further tax rises in the autumn.

BadEnoch has crushed the R4 Today programme again.

Would not be drawn on anything specific, other than burkas. She doesn't have a policy on it, obviously. Because policies are reckless and opposition parties don't have access to enough information to have any policies (well you said it).

However, non policies aside, she's not in favour of face coverings such as balaclavas and burkas. We don't need to make it about religion.

No, Kemi, we can make it about not being in favour of armed robbery or cold weather. These are helpful comparators to burkas.

Not as to a policy to ban them like reform, she posits, are we going into people's homes to enfoce it?

Good news Kemi! There's no need because it's a form of public modesty.

Well done for thinking of your feet though, Kemi.

Local council election results are to be taken with a massive pinch of salt to an extent, but there's no doubt that Reform is having an effect. My guess here is that Labour voters have decided that Labour either isn't populist/racist enough or is too right wing, going either to Reform or Greens.

Oh god, "I don't accept the premise of the question" must be the most intellectually lazy response ever invented. I'd rather they just said "Fûck off, I'm not going to answer that because it's tricky."

It was a car crash interview. That's why I said she'd smashed R4. She consistently achieves a heady mix of sounding both condescending and clueless.

I think she'll be an ex politician by this time next year. Or a back bencher with "open to work" on her LinkedIn profile.
