Could it be that any or a combination of the following are factors:
1. Reform are doing things that are of more interest to the majority of the public
2. Reform are better at getting their message across
3. Reform make their spokespeople more available than other parties

No party/ interest group has any right to be mentioned in the news ( Election times excepted)

4. Reform are as much of a basket case as Labour, if not worse.

That may or may not be true , but isn't a reason for them getting more publicity than the lib democrats etc

Do you think it's related to this:

given the pressures put on PMs by people these days, magnified by the effect of social media for instant success, I wonder if it is actually possible now for any PM to succeed and last a full 5 year term.

Whether its their fellow MPS or members of the public, it seems as if it is almost impossible to succeed as PM and last a full term

It is a very good reason if Reform MPs are screwing up on a regular basis while the Lib Dems are being their usual invisible selves.
Being in the news isn't publicity and "any publicity is good publicity" is just nonsense. Ask Labour.

Ah, thankyou for that guidance. Silly mistake for me to make, sorry for wasting your time.

Its a no for obvious reasons - the 2nd quote does not explain the different between Reform & Lib Dems in the news - hence why its a No.
BTW You asked could it be which has either a yes or no answer.

Rats, sinking ship, etc.

Still the slimmest of opportunities here for the non-nutjobs left in the Tory Party to ditch the Brexit-Reform agenda, but I don't think for one minute they'll do the pragmatic thing of realising there is a vacant space waiting to be reclaimed.

I'm not sure you understand politics if you think its the Tories who are sinking?

Their ship was scuttled in July 2024.

HMS Parliamentary Labour Party is the one in danger of sinking at present under Admiral Kier

Considering their 'performance' in the various local authorities they've captured, I suspect Reform are desperate for more defections like this (whoever the fück this weirdo is) if they want to contest a GE with anything approximating a credible front-bench lineup.

(I accept that's stretching the definition of 'credible' well beyond the limitations of the language.)

The thing I'm interested in is how strong the party is in itself, if a lot of the big-name nutjobs leave. That said, if Jenrick doesn't jump ship as well and becomes leader, there's no chance that the party will come to its pragmatic senses, as he makes Farage look quite moderate.

Farage acknowledged that at the end of their conference - he basically said they need experience.
He didn't mention the need for sense and decency though!
