They only have 8 MPs.
Fagrash's budget increases council tax by 3.99% but that's a 'victory' because it's less than the 5% maximum whilst pledging no increase in council tax a little while ago...

Well, I suspect many of my fellow residents of South Tyneside would prefer a 3.99%. increase in Council Tax, to the 4.99% increase we have had for the past two of three years at least.

I'm sure they would. Do they also have a preference as to whether this comes at the expense of failing to fund care for the elderly, cancelling support for children with special needs or who need to be in care due to child protection issues, fewer bin collections?
Those thing are already in crisis, even with the 4.99% increases.
And a lower increase helps how?
