The union donations come from members sub don't they?
No, they come from the political levy which members have to opt in to. In Unison it's 5% on top of the normal sub.

Would still be quite onerous if another party demanded it was checked to ensure fairness.
If you were going to have a self declared 'Do you have the right to vote?' question on your union joining form, you should also perhaps have a 'Do you consent to the union using your subs to support the political party of their choice?' question.
Looks like the opt in/out it was introduced long after I'd joined my various unions. Thanks for the clarification. Presumably the recipients of the funds, eg which parties or particular MPs, are decided by committee.
Most of the other political parties seem to have managed it.
I don't know whether other parties have, maybe you can clarify on what basis you say that.
But let me rephrase the question: you see an issue/have a concern here. How would you deal with it? If certain parties are not doing what you want in this area, what sort of rule changes would you implement to deal with it if you were in charge?
I agree, particlarly as companies don't get a vote in electing our politicians.Ban party donations from companies.
Add who is a UK resident. You can be resident overseas and still have an NI number and still be up-to-date with your (UK) taxes.Anyone with an NI number and who is up to date with their taxes can donate say up to £5k per year max.
FFS.
This country is built on successive waves of immigration!
It's just full-on racist 🐂💩
Nobody should be offering any money to this government, if they can avoid doing so
