I knew what it meant (my mum taught classics, so Latin and Greek have always floated around in my brain). Have to say it's pretty shocking to see it used in a modern context...
It’s use here was pretty sick.

Gotta say, I love the cross forum grudges.
It was before my time on NCAAP but from what I understand the most of you on here sat back and said nothing when one of the few women on the forum was routinely being called a c*nt on the trans rights threads. So excuse me if I take out the world's smallest violin because one of your fellow travellers is on the receiving end after trolling me on and off for years.
There were a lot of personal insults being thrown around in all directions in that debate and it often did get out of hand.
This is a somewhat ironic comment, given your shadow existence on Cake Stop. I didn't know the word 'catamite' before, but if aimed at an identifiable individual, not only is it an ad hominem, I'd suggest that it's potentially libellous.
One reason I ignored the whole thread.
It is the only thread I put on ignore...round and round in increasingly bitter circles.
Perhaps he just has weird fantasies about certain forumites. I hope he can get the stains out of his trousers.
But will he ever get his trousers out of Staines?
Staines went to the same school as me, though long after I'd left. Calls himself Guido nowadays, I hear.
