Really. It already has zero traction in the press (unsurprisingly)
It’s staggering that being given £5million is going so unnoticed.

It did actually get a short segment on BBC TV News, but, like you say, the way Farage gets an effective pass on just about everything, maybe after 24 hours of minor mentions at the fringes does seem to be the norm. The press seem to have a double standard, in that Reform get lots of airtime most of the time, as "they are leading in the polls", but as soon as something like this comes up, "Well, they aren't the government, so we'll find something about Angela Rayner to wang on about".

Because its likely the gift complies with the rules.

If it was £100, no one would raise an eyebrow.

Its only the figure that has got you lefties in a rage spin.

The Telegraph has an obsession at the moment with Miliband banning YOUR tumble dryer.
Well, if I had a tumble dryer, and Miliband came knocking on my door I would say “Miliband, NO you are not taking my tumble dryer”.*

Ah, that'd explain Matt's £3000 effort this morning.

The whole story is basically the same as when all our hoovers became less powerful and we would all choke in dust as a consequence.

I am actually surprised it is being spun* the way it is, given that the practical implications of drying things are 50c instead of 70c is to shrink fewer of my clothes.

With you being a Clanger, I imagine you have to be very careful with wool too.

Radio 5 was saying if he got referred to the House standards committee and suspended but were at pains to point out that would be the ultimate sanction and unlikely to happen.
Thing is it's not just failing to declare eg free football tickets or anything. £5m buys a lot of favours and influence and failing to declare is very significant.

(Excl. charitable donations) Nobody gives away £5m without even indirectly expecting something in return at some point hence it the system of declarations being so important.
