Those who make large amount from "less traditional" means tend to like staying away from the headlines and avoiding any scrutiny. Similarly, the wealthy with convictions don't tend to like their name next to "convicted fraudster" all over national press front pages.
Passing large amounts to Färage these days seems to attract scrutiny something most donors don't want.
And that might make Färage think there is more money to be made in Trümp's US ...
