Oh come on, don't be so pedantic. I included her age as it resonates with me as a human being, I can't imagine what anyone's family goes through when a loved grandparent is murdered.
And you KNOW that wasn't the thrust of my post.
People are always saying "be kind", yet here we farking are.
As far as I am concerned the fact that an elderly woman (of amost exactly my age) who I did not know personally and whose views I did not like died meant nothing to me at all, but I am saddened that her death was the way it was as she did not deserve to die like that, nobody does.
She was a Marmite figure of politics who courted publicity and was famous for her plain speaking and propensity to offend, so I am afraid her death, and the shocking manner of it, is bound to be the subject of much speculation. I am not convinced that a bunch of anonymous people on a niche backwater of the Internet commenting on her views and speculating about the circumstances of what appears to be a vicious crime will even cause a ripple in the lives of her family. (AFAIK, unlike the example in your response, she was neither a grandparent nor a parent and her only brother died 16 years ago, although she undoubtedly had other relatives and friends who loved her and will be upset).
