Girls do often have a bit more done eg feathered, often longer hair, bit more styling at the end with a roller brush or whatever, but I mostly agree. Hairdressers will charge £10 for a boys haircut that requires a bit of time and styling and also £10 for the 2 minutes it takes to trim a girls fringe.

Aren't you a lawyer? The equality act doesn't legislate on the basis girls might twirl their hair more. Charging for twirling is fine, you can't simply charge more because of gender.

It might well be illegal, but the Met are too busy arresting peaceful middle aged protesters under the terrorism act.

You don't know that. The wet cut for a girl might be £31.

You also haven't considered drying it again.

I said it was £35 when the dry cut was £20. All the info was there.

It is actually an interesting question. Would it be a fair defence to say that they have to allow different average time for WC&BD for boys & girls, hence the differential timing & pricing? Or even if there is an average difference, should the boys pay more per minute (on average) than the girls, so that the total price is the same, irrespective of the time taken? (This is obviously making the assumption that boys' & girls' WC&BW do take different average times.)
