A sigh of relief at replacing the SPD cleats on my Shimano shoes, which have plenty of life left in them... it was touch and go whether the bolts were completely seized, but all four creaked their way out with a fair degree of force (not surprising as the plates inside the shoes looked like the steel of the SS Great Britain when it arrived back in Bristol from the Falklands).

Interesting, thanks. This time I used a PTFE lubricant on the threads, but that looks better. To be fair to the plates inside the shoe that have rusted, I think they are probably 10 years old and have had minimal (i.e. no) care, tucked away under tape and an insole, in often rather damp condictions.

Saw this sign in a public WC recently. I took a photo as it made me confused. I guess it’s a cultural issue?

I have just been to a toilet in a coffee shop in Holborn. There was a sign saying "Please only put toilet paper in the toilet."

This really left me with a conundrum.

I saw a sign today that said "SLOW HEDGEHOGS".
I didn't know that there are fast hedgehogs.

Trying to work out which option is worse for splashback, being closer to the water in the yes image but with less drop or the additional drop but greater clearance in the no option. Given the near misses of serious injury from sitting on a loose toilet seat in the traditional 'yes' option I don't think I'll be trying the alternative.

The first is the better posture for emptying the bowels, but it does carry certain risks.

This is an old video that I rediscovered on YT the other day. Its in Norwegian but that won’t make much difference the title says it all ^_^.

I am intrigued to know what advantages the post puberty male hormones provide to dart athletes.

There probably isn’t much difference, but 100% of all world champions have been men, so there may be some advantages.
If you go to the bother of having a women’s only tournament, then probably best to let only women play.
I guess the PDC wants to align with other sporting bodies, following the recent court decision.

What about snooker? Or motorsport?

I think the contrast thus far with athletic endeavours is the scientific underpinning to policies.
