Point of order. The US is responsible for the deaths of a very large number of Arab people, so the Arab killer epithet is aposite. However, most Iranians are not Arab, so in this case it doesn't apply. No complaints about the rest of the post.
My guess would be that his initial position would be to deny the USA, but following discussion with the armed forces, there is a good strategic reason to permit the Yanks to use our bases - he may have been persuaded that we would be better off at this stage to work with them than against. However, with what we have seen of him over the weekend, I think it’s time to speak up.
How can he go from saying that what the tangerine racist and Arab killer were doing was “Against International Law,” one day, to allowing them to use UK bases to attack Iranian military targets, the next?
Side note: I wouldn't like to be attending any world cup matches in the USA. They would now seem to be a prime target for terrorist attacks from jihadists - or if Trump's attending, assassinations also. Possibly indiscriminate.

I assumed Arab killer referred to Netanyahu, and whilst it is true that he manages to kill indiscriminately, it feels like a reasonable summary of the man's character.

That's just topped an existing very long list of reasons.
Would thinking that football is a silly game played by over-paid prima donnas be on the list? Asking for a friend...
Quite seriously football is probably the finest team game of all. Very skilled and with basically fairly simple rules requiring many skills, especially at representatative level. The fact that it is the most widely played and popular game in the world attracts the money it does and that encourages the prima donnas, but that is human nature and not the game itself.
Totally disagree with your first sentence, but its comparative simplicity is what makes it attractive and easy to play. I agree with the rest of your post though.
