You can be a free country or a Christian country, but not both.

How does one define a “Christian Country”. I believe Church attendance is well below 50% of the population.

I suppose, considering myself, I may count as Christian, having been baptised as a child. But, I am a total none believer, and have not attended church in my adult life.

Similarly with other religions. One of my circle of friends. Is, perhaps, a Muslim. But, he does not attend the Mosque, enjoys his bacon, and, indulges in alcohol, is he really a Muslim?

To me looks like "the Mandelson Files" has served to again question Starmer's judgement (despite Starmer's claims "but I was lied to ... how was I supposed to know that Mandelson wasnm't being completely honest when he was offered his dream job ... not like any history of lies ...").
Starmer overruled warning of ‘reputational risk’ over Mandelson appointment, files show
Newly released documents also show Peter Mandelson was offered highly classified briefings before formal vetting was complete

Keir Starmer overruled officials who warned of a “reputational risk” in making Peter Mandelson US ambassador, despite being handed a dossier of evidence about the peer’s relationship with the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, documents reveal.
