Try taking off your blinkers - there are vast numbers of posts that betray a we know better than the masses who are thick types of posts.

Large numbers of people voted Reform on Thursday. Reform will not improve any aspect of there lives. Therefore their behaviour is stupid.

From what I can see reported (so far anyway) it was a pretty useless speech.

I've no idea about the delivery (enthusiasm, passion, etc.) but content seems pretty missing other than his being critical of the Government pre-today (ie himself).

• Nationalise British Steel - is that really going to make the electorate change their mind.
• Not ruling out in a subsequent manifesto maybe (maybe not) considering the possible option to reconsider if we should or should not think about maybe rejoining the Single Market - That sort of pace and my grandchildren won't get any change.
• Not ruling out Burnham standing as an MP (but also not ruling in given he controls the NEC).

Nothing to make any difference to the majority who have turned away from Labour.
I suspect that were the Council elections to re-run tomorrow the outcome would be the same (or worse) for Labour.

Did you vote Reform Stevo? You'd be ideally placed to explain the logic. A bit like those vox pop things the BBC are so fond of.

Steel seems to be as totemic as fishing in the UK psyche: pretty piddlingly small, but get loads of attention.

OTOH, the university sector is worth about £250bn, and yet (partly because it attracts a lot of foreign students) it's being allowed to fall into pretty serious crisis without any real attention.

I think that's the stated reason, but I genuinely wonder how much UK steel is used and is crucial to UK-produced 'defence' materiel. I'd have hoped that European steel would always be available to UK defence manufacturers. If not, we're cooked anyway.

Yes, in a nutshell.

Steve Reed, a noted Holocaust denier is now an elected councillor.

Reform said in February that there was no place in Reform for those who perpetrate violence against women and girls.

In May, David Barker was elected in Sunderland despite beating his ex-partner black and blue (convicted - ABH) and abusing his child whilst under the influence of drugs. Stuart Prior was elected councillor in Essex and Rochford (apparently has now stood down) despite celebrating Sikh women being raped. Glen Gibbons is now an elected Councillor in Sunderland (suspended) despite suggesting melting down Nigerians to fill pot holes.

Good luck if you elected Reform councillors. They aren't going to save you money, mostly because half of them will have had to quit over the next few months.
