I think that should be 28% of those who voted. I haven't checked the turnout, but, I will be surprised if it is significantly more than 35%.
The ex-PCC only got 42% of those who voted, so, a sort of Brexit Victory.
Well of course. That goes without saying. Swap "electorate" for "voters". Turn out was 31%. Makes no difference. If people cared, they'd have voted.
Not really. Brexit was a binary question. This wasn't. The vote was split 6 ways, so 41% is massive (basic maths 😉)
The most worrying thing to me is that Reform did not come last.
I can see how it'll be spun, and the general pattern is favourable towards Labour which is a good thing (broadly speaking), but the way I see it the real winners are the independents.
I wouldn't worry too much.
Just count the seats they won nationally![]()
It is not those seats that concern me, but, that there are several thousand of their voters who may be sitting next to me in any public space![]()
