Is it worth pointing out soaring energy prices were inherited from the last government?
Hopefully this little factoid won’t result in another barrage of fascist fûckwittery from the intellectual pigmies on X, with whom you are so enamoured.

His theory is cock eyed. Saying oil and gas are price set internationally and electric generation will be controlled by UK. Its partly bought from abroad.

Why didn't UK governments secure the north sea oil domestically to control use and price on the domestic market.

His pace to net zero is forcing prices higher in a very short term causing already under pressure British to probably consider what they will use this winter.

To counter his net zero drive this government is to 'cloud seed' to try and reduce temperatures, presumably to generate the right type of clouds to reflect the sun's energy. That will certainly help with solar production from a northern hemisphere location. There is no joined up plan.

They are flying all over the place to this summit, that convention. Just do a zoom meeting.

Instead of pushing back ice vehicle phase out, reinstate the original deadline.

It's all a bit last minute and daffy duck

And his point is that we need to be building wind, solar and Nuclear so we don't need to buy anything from abroad.

Because there is sod all left there worth having.

Actually he's widely regarded as being excellent at his brief.

Looks like non dom flight from the UK have severely dented the coffers of the treasury. Receipts CGT from sales of assets plummeted by £13bn, compared to last year. Self assessment figures came in lower than expected.
Financial services performed poorly.

Many of the non dom leaving before rules kicked in on charging tax on world wide earnings.

Analysts predict UK coffers would be £14 billion worse off every year because the wealth creators have left UK shores.

Maybe the Trump visa will be very attractive. Those buying the residency card will only pay tax on US domestic earnings not worldwide like the UK.

It does get him press coverage but does that press coverage actually get him many votes? Where he spends his press time making a bungee jump or knocking over some model wall with a joke mallet other politicians are spending their time telling us how they are going to make our lives better.

And how much of "worked last year" came from complete failure of the Conservatives and ex-Conservative voters looking for somewhere they could cast a vote. My Mum was a Terlegraph reader all her life, always voted conservative until Johnson came along when she couldn't vote Conservative but couldn't move as far as an "X" next to Labour so Lib Dem's were her only choice.

It's the media isn't it though?
The media give c*nt chops Farage and whoever he is more coverage than the Lib dems who have actually got seats in parliament. How tf is Ed Davey (or any Lib Dem party leader) supposed to get a fair share of the attention?

Shall we go over those smouldering Brexit embers. How many people believed the shyte coming out of Farage and the then UKIP, and voted to leave? Simultaneously, the Lib Dems had seats in parliament and there was virtually zero media attention on the position of the Lib Dems.

At a time when a "news story" is a gender reveal on Peppa Pig and attention being paid to the number of penises in the Bayeux Tapestry I have decided that this country is simply farked up and doesn't care about anything serious.

Indeed.
Could one argue that the country is farked up because (partly) of the media? They are all vying for a share of a market spread across so many platforms, that there is no 'voice' anymore.
