Have you noticed that none of the Politicians are mentioned inflation? Last time I looked, it was edging towards double bank of England target.
Well the next BoE decision is next week. I expect they will assess that most inflationary pressures are geopolitical at this point. E.g. price of oil is going to spike, and US based multinationals are not likely, in my view, to hugely increase production in order to keep prices down to make Donald look good.

Labour Mp tried to gas light the audience on QT. I've never seen such a crowd against Labour policies on BBC programme.

Yes, I suspect the BoE will do exactly that. Doesn’t reduce the inflation figure however

I think there is an expected one off spike due to Rachel from Accounts' budget impact and that the headline rate should fall back over the next few months. That would align with the dreadful GDP figures for April and the lack of transactions in the housing market.

Sure. But sensible people didn't blame the Tories for 10% post COVID and post Ukraine inflation, didn't given them credit when it went down, and shouldn't blame Labour now.

It is tantamount to debating who is responsible for the tides today.

Don’t think I used the word “blame”, unless you know otherwise?

Labour MAY be responsible for some of the inflation, and, some is no doubt due to things beyond their control.

I was pondering, why there appeared to be radio silence on the subject, and, vaguely wondering what if any action may be taken.

No you didn't, wasn't suggesting. it is probably because everyone but BadEnoch's script writers know it's a fairly weak attack, in light of the BoEs comments and long term forecasts.

Now that NetenYahoo has started a holy war, that could change of course.

I wasn’t thinking of “attack” either, I was pondering:

Have Labour noticed

Do they have a plan/solution

If yes, what is it?
