Why are they protesting against wheelie bins? Take up too much space? Not emptied often enough? Too heavy?

Sort the problem, dont blame the victim. Capture, prosecute, deport when appropriate
Oh dear, Rachel from accounts has an estimated £51bn black hole to fill:
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/chancellor-warned-tax-rises-needed-073414295.html
Although at least Labour will be able to say that their black hole is bigger than the Tories one 🙂
I think she'll raid pension pots and freeze income tax thresholds, combined with some more cuts.
Triple lock should go and I suspect there will be movement on state pension age sooner than is included on those forecasts.
The black hole is said to be £41.2bn.
To be honest, you'd need to be pretty dim not to realise that the cost of servicing the debt mountain left by the Tories has increased by about £20.6bn per year (typo amended).
You'd also need to be pretty dim to be gloating that the country is in trouble due to that and the Brexit fiasco. Yes Yes, yabber yabber, Covid and Ukraine - nothing to do with the fast lane contracts and the wealth gap being out of control.
But will no-one think of the pensioners?
I was talking to a younger (early 30s) musician last week, and he was mentioning his current retirement age being 68... I opined that that is highly likely to change well before he gets there, and there was just a kind of shrug.
Incidentally, I'd never taken in what 'WASPI' stood for - "women against state pension inequality". I assume that they'd been making lots of noise for all the years when women could retire at 60 while men had to carry on to 65 for their state pension. Maybe I missed all that noise somehow.
