I'd like to see the Lib Dems given at least as much air time as Reform as a starter with them being the third largest Party with 68 more MPs than Reform. Even Plaid have as many MPs as Reform despite only standing in a fraction of the number of constituencies. However, on balance, if there was a GE tomorrow and the choice was Tory, Reform and Labour I would have to vote Labour again as even though they've been disappointingly ineffective and scared of their own shadow (despite a huge majority) they are still a far better / less dangerous option than the others. As I've said many times, I wish they'd govern like a Party with a large majority and 4 years left in charge rather than sh***ing themselves about what might happen at the next GE.

Fib Dums? I should have added the word 'viable' into my post above.

As for Labour, they have a good reason to be sh***ting themselves about the next election.

Matey here thinks Starmer's a Lefty.

Bless.

I hope he has his velcro shoes plainly marked L and R, are it could be an uncomfortable walk to the ballot box.

I have a postal vote 🙂

The only person I've ever seen struggle with putting the correct shoes on was a leftie 😄

The truth was that she had injured her foot, the swelling is apparent in the picture - accordingly she was trying to find the most comfortable fit. So yes, that was her struggle. But you should avoid this kind of abuse, unless you are comfortable being noticed as wearing two right shoes - one for racism - the other for misogyny.

I doubt that. Postal votes have a maximum validity of three years under changes introduced by the Elections Act 2022.

How interesting. I registered for a postal vote several years ago and get the papers in the post whenever there is an election. Including last years GE.

Copilot replies as I couldn't honestly be bothered ...

Here’s the key provision:

Section 3 – Restriction of period for which person can apply for postal vote Schedule 3 contains provision limiting the period for which a person can apply to vote by post— (a) at parliamentary elections in England and Wales and Scotland, and (b) at local government elections in England.
This change replaces the previous five-year signature refresh with a requirement to reapply every three years. It came into force on 31 October 2023, and transitional arrangements are in place for existing postal voters.

You can read the full legislative text on Legislation.gov.uk, and the government’s explanatory guidance is available on GOV.UK’s Elections Act page

Yawn, so maybe I have to tick a box to refresh it. No biggie.

So what? If you had registered for a Postal Vote, on expiry, you are sent an invitation to renew it, you can even get a "signature waiver" if you are unable to sign.
