Google tells me that this shocking figure was news in 2017. And again in 2020. Seems to be a right wing press go to story if there's not much else going on.

At one point it was 43k jihadists* so it's coming down. Good news.

*Funnily enough MI5's watch list isn't limited to "jihadists" or even islamists not currently on jihad, but it's okay to bundle them all together providing there are at least some jihadists in there, or potential jihadists, or perhaps some people who are just jihadists at weekends.

Jihad is classified into inner ("greater") jihad, which involves a struggle against one's own passions and impulses, and outer ("lesser") jihad, which is further subdivided into jihad of the pen/tongue (debate or persuasion) and jihad of the sword (warfare). Much of Muslim opinion considers inner jihad to have primacy over outer jihad.

Oh wow, you mean most of the UKs 4 million Muslims are inner jihadists? Someone should tell GN News.

Japan has a new leader. First woman prime minister.

She promises to eject islamists and illegal immigrants.

Seems to be a common theme developing around the world

Seriously, that video is well worth watching - it's quite long, but it seems to be well researched, and apart from the vigorous hand-waving, good use of the video medium.

If you haven't got the time, the presenter convincingly suggests that Glasman admires Trump & MAGA and how they've 'empowered the downtrodden' (Glasman is on video saying that you can either be with Trump & MAGA or against him, and as there's not an in-between, you have to go with him). He also suggests that Blue Labour have in effect taken control of Labour despite their few declared numbers. And on the farming front (he's a farmer himself) suggests that the inheritance tax on farms thing has been hijacked by bad actors (not in the Crossroads sense).

But, as I say, worth a watch.
