Blair paved the way for the Americanisation of the UK, which I find upsetting.

That said, he did many good things, which is often forgotten.

Surely it was Thatcher with her Reaganomics 'trickle down' 'privatisation' 'greed is good' anti union stance , that paved the way for the Americanisation of The UK.??

Yes fo sure Blair may well have continued somewhat in that vein.

And certainly he did some bad things..
In fact one particularly very bad thing

But as you say, much good was done under that administration too.

But as you say, much good was done under that administration too.

Thatcher was before I had any interest in politics (I was born in 1985).

But from what I understand you're right, I guess Blair just turned the UK from the US lapdog into their unscrupulous whore.

There's experts out there called political historians who could tell you far better than me.
