Nadal looks like he finally succeeded in picking his shorts out of his bum.

You know, you'd think with the money he's got he'd be able to afford a pair that fit him wouldn't you?

Clear enough for a high camp up here tonight,
and a nice guy, all busy making me a lovely cup of tea...

😊

As Fabbers says - WOW. Don't recognise the name, any chance of another go or an OS grid reference?

We were down south yesterday on the Machair at Northton. Blue sky more or less wall to wall, views to St Kilda, Corncrakes calling and Dolphin (or maybe Porpoise) exercising just off the old chapel.

Today is an extract from the Hebridean Way from Maariug down Loch Lacasdail to the Scalpay road . Eagles and Red Deer a plenty one hopes.

Settler of gobby hash.
Doubtless you'll have your favourites, but mention of corncrakes brings the essays of Kathleen Jamie, published in the collections 'Findings', 'Sightlines' and 'Surfacing', to mind.
While for deer and eagles it has to be Mike Tomkies, e.g. 'A Last Wild Place'.

Both get on with the business of serious noticing without the performative, self-indulgent purpleness of, say, Robert Macfarlane and his imitators, all droning on about hares.

p.s. I've nothing against hares. Their peripheral, movement-sensitive vision is doubtless very acute but their forward facing seeing must be a bit limited because when I stood very still a muscled, stocky hare ambled across the toes of my walking boots one radiant lockdown afternoon.

Fabulous,
We were camped near there the other night..
Glad you got some good weather

Sorry terrible spelling

Sgorr Rhuad..
(Probs still terrible spelling )
south side of Glen Torridon.
Quite a pull up 950 m (convert to feet at your will) from sea level but worth it for the views ..

Only downside is the sun barely goes down you need a blindfold to sleep..oh and all them pesky hares a bothering 😳

I used to quite like that mcFarlane bloke, but then he started on with the oh so fey "But chilldrrren they speaketh no more of the milkwort"

And he used the word 'liminal' just one too many times.. 🙄

Ahh mainland. No wonder I couldn't match it to a location on Harris (or even Lewis)

After over twenty years of soil toil, and navigating bureaucracies, form filing, and stress and expense .

Finally got PP to build a permanent little wooden howse' at the farm .

Not going to be trailer trash forever..

Could be a busy few years, coming up...

Sounds good. Friends at Bearhouse Alpacas built one. Kit form from Norway apparently. Not little, though.
