Urban myth. Farmers did not vote leave any more than the average of the population.
Edit: Just looked it up to be sure, farmers voted roughly 56% vs the population of 52%.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are industries that voted way higher, but we like to punch down on farmers for some reason.
Yeh but! The general population vote gap was 4% meaning a 2% swing requirement. The farmers' vote gaps was 12% requiring a 6% swing. So that's three times as much. We could apply the same logic to the fishers where without looking I think we might see a bigger difference, though there are probably fewer of them.
Without looking wasn't it the east of the country that was the most Brexity and where they had a real feeling of being forgotten and left behind?
