Guinea-Bissau stopped the planned RFK Jnr 'trial' of *not* giving the Hepatitis B vaccine to children to try to prove his antivax point.

Genuinely wonder why. Crimers are always gonna crime. Or so I thought. (Fraud caveat noted here though.)

I suspect a huge amount is down to reporting though. There's much more of an attitude that the police won't do anything and if they do the CPS will kick it out or the Court won't punish it so is it worth all the hassle? We need a graph showing recorded crime and people's faith in the criminal justice system.

Except it seems to be an international phenomenon, so I'd be surprised if parochial changes in reporting were happening at the same time around the globe.

For instance, I'd have thought that murders are one of the least likely to be unreported, and they've halved in 40 years in several European countries.

You need to look at context and demographics of victims and assailants in more detail to make a meaningful analysis. The drop in the Italian murder rate in the 80s was due to the government concentrating on reducing Mafia activity. It doesn't reflect whether the number of 'ordinary' murders went down. Likewise, the UK has had murders rising after things like Shipman, where 200 murders were added to the stats in one year.

There is an annual crime survey where people are asked about being a victim of crime. This includes unreported crimes. As you'd expect, the (extrapolated) rates are higher, especially for sex offences and things like vandalism.
