Carved from a single block of marble.
So was that sculpture hiding inside the block of marble, before the artist revealed it?

Inspired by a Facebook thing I decided to make my own bookshelf.

It's worked quite well I reckon, considering it's made out of old fence and has been eyeballed rather than properly measured.

I think if I were to do something like that, I'd go with a shallower angle in order to make extracting books from the bottom of the pile easier. (Looks rather like the number of books in my 'to read' pile.)

Too late for that now. I've read em all anyway so I suppose that helps.

Easily dismantled or re-angled.

I've finished the rest of them.

Actually, if I'm bored, I might do something along those lines for my to-be-read pile. An interesting design/engineering brief. I'm not particularly practised at either, but since I've done normal bookshelves from scratch here and in Topsham, something different might be fun.

All you'll need is some screws, wood and a set of eyeballs. Same as normal shelves really, just turned a bit.
