And in World Cup soccerball politics, fans are going to be ripped off to get to the stadia... Cycling may be an option for some I suppose, but not one many are likely to take.

ETA - this isn't for all the venues, but one or two is bad enough.

Saw this earlier. What a disgrace, let's welcome people from across the world to one of the biggest sporting events and use it to screw over regular people for financial gain.

Newport County managed to avoid dropping back into the League 2 relegation zone after scoring a winner in the 18th minute of injury time (they had a penalty saved a few minutes earlier that was taken by the goal scorer). Not sure how my life long Newport supporter father-in-law who has a dodgy heart managed to get through watching!

Well who knew that existed?

Yeah, to say there's a chequered history there is an understatement.

To be fair (I know, I know), there's been similar guidance for all World Cups - it's a FIFA requirement.

Having it come from The ACLU is a bit different though.

Do they only hold them in repressive dictatorships then?

They've got daft rules about it having to be in different continents to "spread the football message", which works as an idea, but you end up with questionable venues.
