I must admit I find tribalism like this utterly baffling, and this seems to be tribalism within tribalism. Maybe I'm missing a gene, or something, similar to people who find sprouts bitter and disgusting.

It's always been a thing in football. There used to be loads of rival "young teams" who'd cause havoc with infighting, but have (in Scotland at least) generally become more unified under "block" or "ultras" banners.

It's all a bit of a pastiche of European tifo/ultra culture, which in some countries can be pretty vicious, particularly in Eastern Europe.

Generally they're pretty good at self governing and it's usually a combination of singing and flag displays, but there's always an element which take things too far. Our ultras are good lads, and I stand with them when I can make a game, took my old man along once and it was quite touching to see how courteous they were towards him.

Easy. If you take polling from the public for 20 minutes while reviewing rhe same three frames of video to make it look like you are considering it, the offside decision is the opposite of whatever most people think.

Me and an ex once planned a shag on the pitch at Easter Road, but sadly we got distracted and never made it out of the pub.

Block 7 (Hibs ultras) have been banned for tonight's game against Killie, with a further 3 match ban suspended. Not sure this has happened outside the Old Firm before...

Block 7's flares at Easter Rd aren't going to bother the opposing fans at the opposite end of the ground as the smoke will have dissipated.

On the other hand fans of the The Rangers stole the Saintees ultra's drum and assaulted our fans liasion officer, a 50 year-old woman, in the same incident.

Absolutely.

Although I think we'll see more of other ultra groups punished as they'll both issue statements about bias.
