Anyone here listen to "Chain Reaction" on R4/7? Entertainer types interview each-other. One week, A chooses B as his/her subject. Next week, B chooses C etc.

Could be adapted ... ?

A bit of a random thought this ...

A Tory MP has been on leave since May 2022 following an allegation of rape. Whip has not been withdrawn, he has just agreed to stay away. No MP has used parliamentary privilege to name him, and as far as I know the Sun nor any other paper has named him.

A BBC presenter is suspended due to a serious allegation. Within a couple of days Conservative MPs are said to be considering naming him using parliamentary privilege.

Funny that.

Huw has done the right thing and confirmed it was him.
The police have said no signs of criminal activity.
The Sun do seem to just be doing a hatchet job.
But I suspect Huw’s career will now go the way of Frank Bough. I can’t see him having credibility now.

According to the BBC website it was his wife who 'dobbed him in'.

EDIT: More thorough read of BBC website says she did so on his behalf and that he's a hospital inpatient regarding Mental Health issues.

Met Police into BBC Presenter’s behaviour has concluded and they’ve determined “there is no information to indicate that a criminal offence has been committed…there is no further police action.”

BBC website now reporting staff alleging inappropriate behaviour from Edwards towards colleagues.

That might be farm more dangerous for the Corporation than transactions in mucky snaps.

Hey Milzy, you should delete that as soon as possible, along with your subsequent meme. I’m not that bothered about the consequences for you but I’d rather not see Shaun’s livelihood threatened for your mistake.

Don’t ever tell me to delete anything ever again!

It was still a stupid thing to do and my advice for any future similar occurrence would be the same.
But if you want to keep gambling, Captain Hindsight, you go ahead.

Yes, the clear-up rate for privacy and malicious communication offences is probably a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of one percent.

But people do still get nicked.

It's rather like the Lottery, I will 'never win', but somebody wins every week.

The impact of a conviction for mis-use of social media tends to be relatively high, because the hapless tweeter is very much a little person bound up in something much bigger.

This is a story that no-one comes out of looking good...except that bastion of Fleet Street professionalism, integrity and morality, The Sun. xx(

Like a few more on here, you love Sun stories, but profess to hate the newspaper which provides them.

I just wish people would be more honest.

Never followed the article. There from outside looks like a higher than average number of questionable characters work for the BBC
