Much of it is just venting, but what does it achieve in the long run when we use abusive language about people? Most people who vote Tory will do so despite the offensive language Boris Johnson has used, not because of it. How does using terms like 'Tory scum' or 'Nazi' do anything other than alienate people?
I'm tired of women being told to be nice and to be kind too. In fact, 'Be Kind' was all over the women's and girls t shirts and pyjamas in Asda yesterday and it was really pi**ing me off. But you can be forthright and passionate without using derogatory language.
Once you start, where do you draw the line on what language is acceptable? Shouldn't decent people hold themselves to a higher standard than Boris Johnson?
