You're going to have to do a bit better than a grievance against an image format that has been part of online discourse for several decades. It was a lightweight post, and undeniably a cliché, but then it wasn't laying claim to originality or profundity. Three people found it apt or amusing. I know that images were lately banned over in CCHQ, but I can't be held responsible because the mod team shares your fear of (post)modernity.
