Despite BT's best attempts to bolster his depression, the Kyiv Post reports Russian soldiers setting fire to their own equipment because they don't want to be sent into the meat grinder and Moscow's air defence systems are failing.
Vladimir (nothing to do with Putin) population 750k has been hit multiple times as it sist adjacent to a power station who's primary role is to supply Moscow with power.

The failure to defend Moscow airspace against Ukrainian strategic strikes signals that the Russia-Ukraine war is moving toward a definitive turning point. Despite waves of Russian counterattacks, they are unable to slow Ukraine’s offensive capability. The war is unwinnable for Russia.

You don’t think the Kyiv Post may be a little partial when it comes to propaganda?

Almost any Western press is going to be partial and the Kyiv Post does cover both negative and positive news. It's down to you to read the articles and make your mind up.
Anyhoo, Sergei Lavrov, Putin's right hand man of 21 years has disappeared off the scene. Looks like they may have had a falling out. Some suggest he's making Putin look weak.

Good article from the Kyiv Independent about Russia's air defences being 'wide open':

Ukrainian drones — and the occasional missile — have been causing havoc across Russia for months.

According to Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), nearly 160 successful strikes have been conducted in 2025 against oil extraction and refining facilities, leading to fuel shortages and a 37% drop in refining capacity.

"These are legitimate military targets. Oil extraction and refining make up around 90% of Russia’s defense budget. These are the dirty petro-rubles funding the war against us," SBU Chief Vasyl Maliuk said on Oct. 31.

The Kremlin is struggling to respond. On Nov. 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that would allow reservists to be sent to defend critical infrastructure such as oil refineries from drone attacks.

The superpower using a pick up truck with a machine gun on the back of it photographed on front of the Kremlin to try and shoot down drones:

The article does provide balance @Pross as the author highlights a problem in that Ukraine hasn't hot the weaponry to fully exploit the weakness.

I have to say that I admire the restrained tactic of only going after strategic infrastructure.
The temptation to do otherwise must be high. Would potentially backfire if they did though.

More propaganda from Reuters. I don't know how they are allowed to publish this cr4p:

Russia's Volgograd oil refinery halts operations after Ukrainian drone attack, sources say

I've never said the articles are false, it just the selective posting of them and in the case of the Kyiv Post there is always going to be an element of accentuating the positive, the media of any country defending itself against an aggressor will be the same. For some reason you criticise Brian for posting 'negative' articles highlighting that it's not all rosie for Ukraine either. It's a stalemate with huge cost for both countries. Ukraine can't back down as they are defending themselves and Russia can't back down as Putin has to win as he's a power hungry dictator (and if he shows any sign of 'weakness' there are probably other power hungry wannabee dictators waiting to push him out). It's a huge waste of lives that I can't see ending any time in the near future, especially not when one of the two countries that could potentially force a resolution has a moron in charge that can't decide who he supports from one week to the next.

I'm reminded of a virulently anti-Trump friend who correctly predicted, despite the polls, that Trump would win in 2016, while I, in my liberal bubble, couldn't see how he could possibly triumph. His insight was from being a US car nut and being part of conversations on US car forums. He frequently (and somewhat annoyingly) thought my optimism was misplaced. Even more annoyingly, he was right.

It's not that I don't desperately want Putin to lose one way or another, but not seeing how the balance might or might not be shifting isn't particularly helpful. At the moment, it feels like the only real firepower that the Ukrainians have is drones, and however effective they are at reducing Russia's capacity, it's not going to be enough without some proper firepower and big hits to significant targets.

I'm just winding the fecker up.
I am not critticsing him, just countering the negative. BT is brilliant at posting the negative. When he has his ticker op, he'll swing the other way.

... highlighting that it's not all rosie for Ukraine either.

I'm quite aware of that.
Mainstream media portray Ukraine's position/outlook rather poorly. I like to pull up the positives and the shifts in the conflict.

So wait, you are trying to get BTs ticker up?
