The trouble is that the number of drones Russia is sending means that any defensive munitions need to be cheap enough to use in huge numbers.

The huge numbers of drones Russia is sending to hit civilian targets means that inevitably many will get through. But the missiles are cheaper than Patriot missiles and part of a layered defence, with Ukraine also attacking known sources of the drones.

That's true but if ever there was a time for Donnie to play the big man it is when Russia is weakened.
