The Ukrainians were aware of this unit before the CNN report.
IIRC there was footage a couple of weeks ago, of what was said to be a Rubicon command post being destroyed.

There has been numbers like that for a number of weeks now. It's not really an escalation. Out of 500 drones, approx. 40 to 45 get through.

Was just reading that article, and was going back to read the rest and can’t find it now.

It said Rubio said this to a group of representatives so there should be some verification whether he said it or not.

Having Trump say agree by Thursday then it not the final offer, sounds like a lot of back tracking going on.

It shouldn't be a surprise. Trump's been doing this kind of thing all along, and not just with Ukraine.

It is just another variation on TACO. Donnie's negotiation tactics are always go in hard and backtrack to an agreeable point.
Sometimes that point is near the beginning, sometimes it fails completely.
